As we learn in Kabbalistic Astrology, the Scorpio sign represents the fire of the water, and surely harmony doesn't exist between these 2 elements- we pretty much end up in a steam room!

But of course the month of Cheshvan is ruled by Mars and co ruled by Pluto, so no peace in that either.

The Kabbalistic tradition defines 3 kinds of Scorpio: the Snake , the Scorpion, and the Eagle, in order of spiritual growth. There is a belief that King David was a Scorpio (the paradoxical warrior& poet…).

What can we expect from the molad's chart?

First of all, there is a strong component of air, especially Libra, which will absolutely tone down the intensive energy of this month; Mercury is in retrograde motion in Scorpio, and located in the 8^th astrological house. Care should be taken to not enter confrontations, as Mars and the black Moon are retrograde also, placed in aggressive Aries. The best advice of this month is to search for the goodness in everyone, and work at analyzing facts rather than acting on impressions or feelings.

With Neptune at the charts ascendant, we can expect surges of mysticism which will be put to greater use by our positive actions. Neptune located in the 12^th house will strongly activate our subconscious level and give all of us very meaningful dreams this month.

In addition, care should be taken to observe stricter boundaries, with ourselves and others . Control should always be about self control!

The corona of the Sun is so bright that any planet within about 8° of the Sun will not be seen at all. This is called being 'combust'. Even beyond that point and up to about 17° away the brightness of the Sun is still overpowering, and the planet is faint.

This is called being 'under the sunbeams'.

If a planet is right at the core of the Sun, within 0° 17′, then it is utterly consumed, and this is called 'cazimi'.

So, there are really three kinds of solar conjunction – cazimi, combust and under sunbeams – each of which has a somewhat different effect.

Being under sunbeams meaning that the planet is being weakened by the Sun, so astrologers consider the conjunction starts with 8 up to 17 degrees.

Closer than 8 degrees to the Sun the planet is being called combust.

The Sun will burn the principle of that planet, there is a restriction of power and strength.

And a good example would be Venus combust by the Sun. the planet is being burned and for Venus it's very difficult to draw the right lines and boundaries in relationships and money areas.

Finally, when it's very close to a core of the Sun where the planet is in the same degree of the Sun and there is a difference of 17 min – its called cazimi, and in this case the planet will be strengthened by this union, being re- forged, and bestowed some kind of brilliance and genius.

It considers to be the strongest placement for a planet, cause it's in the heart of the King ( Sun). And being there the planet gets what it wants.

In order to know what it wants; we need to see in the chart considering the house and the sign in which this planet is.

Now the mainstream writings on astrology have a political philosophy which evaluates strength and power purely in material terms. A good chart is one that makes us rich easily.

But with the conjunctions to the Sun, the attachment to materialization itself is dissolving.

So the planets which are combust by the Sun , even that it looks like they in detriment, their strength and power is being transferred from outer and material matters to more inner and spiritual, and we can discover the principles of the spiritual self within ourselves.

Cazimi than leads to the most enchanted state wherein the essential meaning of the planet becomes truly inseparable from our spirit, the effect of the planet would be stronger.

But there could be both side to it.

A cazimi with Venus for example – could easily be a nymphomaniac or sex addict, but it can also be a person with supernatural chart and grace, or insight into the world of feelings.

Under the sunbeams the planets are warm and vitalized but somewhat or completely invisible.

It becomes totally depended on our use of it, our choice, but till than its dreamy, ethereal and lacking its usual status and power.

Combust planets are often defying external influence, they are confident in their own unique meaning, and not interested in the material agenda but they will still display their power radiantly and forcefully, in their own individual way.

When a planet becomes non-visible because of the Suns light it becomes less physical and more spiritual in focus.
