The Midheaven and Your Career Planet in Astrology
So where do you look in the chart when you want to check what is suitable career of the person, what is his true soul calling ?
In fact there are many things – we need to look at the 3 mains aspects of the chart – Sun , Moon and Asc., to look at which souls element is the strongest in the chart – fire, earth , water or air, we can also look at 6th house that will show us how person is serving and sharing with others.
But of cause for the soul purpose we would look at the highest point of the chart – Midheaven.
In fact there are many things – we need to look at the 3 mains aspects of the chart – Sun , Moon and Asc., to look at which souls element is the strongest in the chart – fire, earth , water or air, we can also look at 6th house that will show us how person is serving and sharing with others.
But of cause for the soul purpose we would look at the highest point of the chart – Midheaven.
So there is an interesting thing to check.
You look at the MC and think of it as your career sign. But the most important influence of your career is going to be the traditional ruling planet of your MC.
So if your MC in Aries or Scorpio the ruling planet will be Mars. So you should look at the planet Mars in your birth chart and really explore that planet , what aspects it makes to the rest of the planet , in what sign is it in , in what degree and in what house is it placed.
So its kind of comes down to 7 planets = 7 professional pathways.
So if your MC is in Taurus or Libra than you need to look for placement of Venus in your chart , what angels it makes and how it communicates with the rest of your chart.
If your MC in Virgo or Gemini than Mercury is going to be your personal career planets , so you really wanna pay attention to it.
Let's see couple of examples!
For example a person that has an MC in Gemini , we look at his planet Mercury that is located in 3rd house in sigh of Sagittarius and sexstile Mars and Saturn and Neptune in Libra , and we can say here that this person is very organized , knows how to concentrate and also have a good imagination , a career of communication and even music would be very good , especially with Mars and Saturn helping to organize and prepare things.
Another example – person with MC in Libra , Venus in Taurus is in the 5th house , can be beauty and peacemaking.
Another example – MC in Gemini and persons Mercury is located in the 10th house , its only in the 3rd degree , so the lesson here is to learn to follow through on any idea or interest. It can be easy for them to start but they may find it very difficult to "follow through." Also we have the Sun and the Moon in the same house in Cancer , which makes person very sensitive, can be very good with animals or someone that is very creative and can use his career to learn to communicate better.
Of cause just by looking at MC is not enough , we do need to include other planets and aspects and look at the whole chart.
But its an interesting approach that we can try to use.
So go and check your charts to see what is the ruling planets of your MC is telling you ☺

Karen Berg on New Moon of Libra
We are entering the month of Libra (the scale ).
In this month our soul is going through a process of disconnecting from judgments that we created in this or past lives, and reconnecting to the purpose of our soul which is : mercy, unity, love, kindness, fulfilling our destiny and so on.
This month from a Kabbalistic point of view will affect our entire year in the areas of of money, health, fertility and continuity. Who wouldn't want that?
Let us look at the birth of the month of Libra and what we need to do this month , cause our year will be affected by that as well.
Uranus in Taurus square to Venus in Leo – Uranus is our rebellions planet, it breaks everything that is not aligned with the Light Force of the Creator, and right now in the world, Uranus is breaking everything that is connected to Taurus: money, possessions, comfortability etc.… Venus, funny enough is ruling the sign of Taurus.
Venus is about love, money, and value, right now it is in Leo, and in Leo it is creativity, glamour and enjoyment. This position is about re-checking our love lives, how much I am open or close to it. Love according to Kabbalah is a state of unity and care, giving space for the other to grow and giving space in our relationship to grow together.
This position is also about checking my relationship with money? How do I use it? Am I certain? Am I sharing or just using it all to myself? According to Kabbalah tithing is about removing of the opponent (negative energy of my money ) and creating flow. Giving charity removing judgments that are blocking us in life.
Mercury in Libra – the only planet in Air element in the chart – squaring Jupiter in Capricorn – is about being truthful to who we are and not pretend to be someone else. Your soul is beautiful and the more you will show your true self, the Light you will reveal in the world. When we pretend, we create disconnection between our body and soul.
Mercury quincunx to Neptune in Pisces weakening us, when we do not use Neptune in a spiritual way (look at Yael Yardeni post on Facebook about Neptune).
Important not to fall into the illusion of our 5 senses but be strong and face difficulties. There is more and more intense energy in the universe which pushes us to become stronger, so we can be wiser and enjoy life even more.
Trine in earth can help us to make things happen, to make dreams come true, as long as we do not believe the darkness. Rav Berg used to say that no matter how strong the illusion is, the Light is always stronger.
Mercury is the only planet in air element in the chart and it is a bit challenged, so make sure to take 5-10 minutes a day to breathe deeply.
Kabbalist say: May a year and its curses diminish and a new year with blessing will come.
