When looking at skies and seeing the perfect structure of our solar system, we must know that there are additional celestial bodies that we don't see, and they do, make an important influence on us.
One of them are comets.
Heavenly body that astronomers looked at with awe and always misunderstood its influence on us.
Comets consist of a nucleus and a tail.
They differentiate from other planets by their enormous and elliptical orbit.
They appear at irregular intervals and move in a rapid and unpredictable ways.
That's why in ancient times they brought fears to mankind and believed to bring bad luck and disaster to people.
They are the most rebellious members of solar system, appearing to obey none of the normal rules of cosmic roads.
Where comets originate from, remains a scientific mystery to this very day.
Ideas of the origin of comets are as numerous as the number of astronomers that researched it.
The Kabbalistic formula for true understandin gstarts with the most important question – Why?, which science usually avoid because it's not able to find those answers.
So, a good point to start and understand the comet is by researching the Hebrew name of it.
In wisdom of Kabbalah - Hebrew lettersand words are codes that help us to reveal the inner intelligence of a subject.
Comet in Hebrew called – Shavit – and in Aramaic Sharvit.
It says in the Zohar Miketz verse 238 - "Upon receiving the force of the three column system , sharvit( shavit) rules a scepter in maintaining balance in the universe".
So it's the energy of the 3 columns system whipping ( shavit) the world into shape.
And therefore, the month of Aquarius called Shvat, indicating arrival of Messiah and the blessing of "peace on Earth and good will towards one's fellow man".
Therefore, the Kabbalistic interpretation of a comet is an omen of freedom and balance and not an omen of disaster.
The comets tail represent the energy- intelligence of letter VAV of the tetragrammaton ( Yud Key Vav Key - which corresponds to structure of our universe physical and spiritual together) which is similar in its shape to a rod or a stick .
Now, the front of the comet , the face , symbolize the mating of Malchut and Vav , the vessel and Light , the female and male aspects, the plus and minus, VAV being a plus and HEY ( Malchut) being the minus – and this way they create unified circuit of energy.
And from this comes an important question:
"The way the comet appears in the skies- is the tail result of a head or the other way around ?"
From a Kabbalistic point of view – VAV precedes the last letter HEY in its energy intelligence position , so regardless the fact that by looking at a telescope it seems that the tail of a comet is a result of molecules and dust parts that are driven out of comet , indicating the comet came first and tail second, Kabbalisticly it's the other way around.
So, let's welcome the comets and their potential for a good sign of balance for all mankind.
